Aussie Style in Puerto Rico

Paitos Trucking Mack TitanCheck out our customer, Paitos Trucking Inc’s Mack Titan. These guys are based in Puerto Rico and wanted to upgrade their air intake assembly to the Aussie style.

We supplied the full air intake assembly along with riser pipes, air rams, and SLS lighted pre-cleaner covers. The goods were air freighted to Puerto Rico & installed just in time for a local truck show where this Titan won truck of the show.

Angel of Paitos Trucking says “Best of Show! Everybody crazy about the australian look. My boss says thank you for your great service we are more than happy with all of you. You give the extra mile.”

On April 25, 2015 ANZAC memorial walk in Newcastle, NSW was opened to the public. The $4.5 million project was completed to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the ANZAC landing in Gallipoli during World War I.

SLS Group was a supplier for the project and is very proud of the work completed by our profiling department.

Construction of walkway began last September and boasts a 450 metre walkway that offers 360° views of the coastline and city. Along the walkway there are a series of interpretive panels that incorporate the surnames of the 3859 servicemen that enlisted from the Hunter during the Great War, chronology of battles they were involved in, and other stories about Naval, Military, Aviation, Light Horse and Nursing Services during WWI.

The walkway, which uses 74 tonnes of stainless steel, runs from Strzelecki lookout to the Water Board reservoir at Bar Beach and showcases the local skills of the Hunter Valley.

SLS supplied, cut and folded the mild and stainless steel for the featured silhouettes and interpretive signs as shown in the photos below.

ANZAC Memorial Walk

Immaculate Perfection

Back in 2010 SLS Trucking completed a full fit-out on Marty Rasmussen’s Kenworth T908. In 2014 Australian Custom Trucks magazine ran an article featuring Marty and his truck. The full article is available below. ATC has kindly given us permission to post the article here.

From the article:

With a truck in mind the next step was to get a customiser to turn his vision into reality. “I left that part up to Steve at SLS,” he tells ACT. “I told him that I wanted a clean smooth look and this was the second truck he has done for me. As the first one turned out exactly how I wanted it I left this one up to him and didn’t see it until it was finished,” however he says Steve Lawler didn’t disappoint, “it was exactly what I wanted.”

He says he and Steve are very similar “we are perfectionists, that’s why I go there because my expectations are high and his workmanship is first class. As far as I am concerned he is the best in the country.”

“It might cost a lot of money to get the best job but that doesn’t mean anything when it comes back exactly how you expected it to be.”
