Warranty Policy
SLS Custom Stainless Pty Ltd (from here on known as “SLS”) prides itself on its excellent reputation for the quality of its products and services.
SLS warrants that all of its products (used for their intended purpose) will be free from defect in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Apart from any warranties implied by the Trade Practices Act 1974 and/or Part 6 of the Sale of Goods Act (NSW) all other warranties expressed or implied and howsoever arising.
If any product proves to be defective in such time, SLS, at our discrepancy, will:
1) Repair the defective product,
2) Replace the defective product, once returned, or
3) Refund the amount paid for the product (not including any freight that may have been paid when purchased), once returned.
It is the customer’s responsibility to report any evidence of defect in the product or workmanship immediately. This may be done by contacting us via mail, phone, fax or email. A remedy will be received in a maximum of 4 weeks.
Any warranty will be void if:
1) Failure of the product occurs from continued use after the customer knows, or has reason to believe that the product is defective.
2) The product has not been properly maintained or has been modified.
3) The product has not been fitted according to proper instructions.
4) The product is defective arising from negligence, abnormal use or abuse.
Important Notice to Purchaser
The following is made in lieu of all warranties, expressed or implied. Seller’s and manufacturer’s only obligation shall be to replace such quality of the product provided to be defective. Neither the seller nor manufacturer shall be liable for any injury, loss or damage, direct, indirect or consequential arising out of the inability to use the product.
This warranty does not cover:
1) Normal wear and tear.
2) Failure or damage caused by improper use or improper or inadequate maintenance and care.
3) Any incidental or resultant loss.
4) Any downtime expenses incurred by the customer.
If the customer simply changes their mind and no longer requires the product, there will be a 20% restocking fee on all standard products with return freight to be paid for by the customer. No returns will be accepted if the customer has attempted to use or fit a product or if the protective plastic coating has been removed.
There are no returns on “one off” or customised products.
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims and returns.
